Where did the first half of the year go? Do you feel like time flies, too?

May was a busy and rewarding month for me:

  • Connected with former colleagues and friends. And made new connections during various networking events and connection calls.
  • Contributed to LinkedIn discussions. Go to my LinkedIn profile and click the bell sign so that you get notifications when I post something.
  • Prepared for a ‘Strengths and Values’ workshop in NYC beginning of June, helping high potential leaders understand what makes them successful and bring it all to life.
  • Attended ‘Unleash America’ in Las Vegas and learned that staying competitive means focusing on power skills development, reskilling the workforce, and using AI to source and keep talent.
  • Facilitated a ‘Stress and Time Management Skills’ workshop.
  • Participated in a Moment of Pause with Catherine Jefferson and other powerful women.
  • Started mentoring two ATD Chicago members. Coached leaders and people in transition.
  • Learned that as of June 27th 2024, Germany accepts dual citizenship.

Recharge your battery

During May, I made an effort to recharge my battery! I booked massages, went for morning walks, hiked in Death Valley and Valley of Fire, went horseback riding, attended concerts, and spend time with friends.

I encourage you, dear reader, disconnect for a weekend and replenish your energy. Take this time ponder your life’s accomplishments: What have you achieved in your lifetime so far? What do you want to spend time on the next couple of months and years? Which relationships do you want to nurture? Which goals and milestones do you want to achieve? How will you celebrate your achievements and successes? What steps are you taking to embrace life to the fullest?

Over the Memorial Day weekend, I reflected on the individuals who have left a lasting impression on my life. Setting aside a few hours, I delved into writing my contribution to a collaborative book project featuring immigrant stories, outlining the various people who made a difference in my life.
